The Balochistan government set up Medical Emergency Response Centers (MERC) as the province’s first specialised emergency service. These centres run ambulances and provide 24/7 emergency medical care through certified and trained Emergency Medical Technicians and Medical Doctors. The Project is supposed to build 25 Centers along all 8 Highways.
